VRE Training Services

Our training team while focused on VR, still offer some fundamental courses that are useful in any organisation and any sector. This is because they underpin basic competencies and skills we know are important, especially for front line managers.

These courses have been developed with the latest theory and practice and offer effective one day courses for the following:

Explores what is leadership, why we all need to lead, why leadership can be learnt by anybody. Introduces delegates to a very simple and effective leadership model that is easily applied. Delegates explore how they can then lead in their roles, whatever the level they are at.

Who is it for:

  • New managers
  • Middle managers who need a refresh
  • All staff, as everyone can lead in an organisation

Explores what is coaching, how it differs from mentoring, why it is the number 1 skill for new managers to learn. How and when to apply coaching and to whom. Introduction to the GROW model of coaching, its strengths and limitations and then several supervised practice sessions to consolidate learning.

Who is it for:

  • All management staff
  • Anyone with supervisory responsibilities

Personal Effectiveness

Exploding the myth of multitasking, highlighting key techniques to improve focus, reduce task switching costs. Also taking a holistic view of personal effectiveness, looking at mind- body effectiveness. Bringing in key research work from mindfulness and wellbeing and how they increasingly impact on whether we have a really “effective day” or an unproductive day.

Who is it for:

  • All staff

Effective thinking

Why how we think drives all our performance, how changing our thinking can change our behaviour.  Why this has huge benefits that go way beyond the workplace in terms of wellbeing.  How applying simply cognitive behavioural techniques can make us less fearful, anxious, stressed, much happier and more resilient in the workplace.  Practice sessions identifying our own typical cognitive distortions and how to make our minds a much nicer place to be in.

Who is it for:

  • All human beings
